Vacancies with ESDAS
We are looking for two new team members who are passionate about helping us end the social injustice of domestic abuse and violence. Their roles will involve providing emotional support and practical help to survivors of domestic abuse.
a Domestic Abuse Triage Outreach Assessor - you will be the first person to respond to calls from survivors or to contact them when they are referred to us by the police or other agencies to assess their needs and sign-post them to support or allocate them from support from one of our Outreach team
a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker - you will support and advise survivors by telephone and with face-to-face outreach support and advocate for them with other agencies on a needs-led, trauma informed basis
You will receive support and training and a competitive starting salary of between £24,000 - £25,000 p.a. depending upon experience together with other benefits. These are full time (35 hours a week) roles for an 18 month fixed term with the possibility of becoming permanent.
To succeed in this role, you must work with professionalism, empathy and kindness, have knowledge of working with survivors or other groups who have suffered trauma and be able to work on your own initiative and in a team.
You will be based at our office in Redhill but you must have a driving licence and use of a car for work as some local travelling for meetings will be required.
