East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services (ESDAS) provides support to relieve the hardship caused by domestic abuse in all its forms.
If you’re in danger, call 999. ESDAS offers confidential support, safety advice, and help with housing, legal options, counselling, and children.
Supporting someone facing abuse can be hard. ESDAS guides you to listen, believe, stay safe, and share confidential help.
Support is available to help change abusive behaviour. Respect and DVIP provide guidance for individuals and families.
At ESDAS, we are led by you. We will listen to what’s going on, providing support and advice accordingly. Unless you or another are at immediate risk of harm, anything you tell us is confidential.
Our aim is to help people build resilience, regain confidence, and foster independence. Many of our staff, volunteers, and trustees bring lived experience, and all of us are united by the belief that abuse is never inevitable — and never acceptable.
Sometimes it’s difficult to recognise if your situation warrants concern. It’s not uncommon for those surviving domestic abuse to consider their situation ‘normal’, particularly if things have escalated over a long period of time.
Our simple relationship health check will guide you through some easy-to-answer questions, which will help you to understand if you should consider seeking further support.
We understand that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re unsure about your situation, ready to take action, or somewhere in between, ESDAS is here to listen, believe, and support you.
Our service is free, confidential, non-judgmental, and independent, available to anyone affected by domestic abuse who lives or works in Reigate & Banstead, Tandridge, or Mole Valley. If you live outside of these areas. Refuge is a nationwide charity that will be able to provide support wherever you live.
