Help for Professionals

Support for Professionals Working with Domestic Abuse

ESDAS is not only able to offer advice and support to survivors of domestic abuse; we can also help professionals who may be working with families or individuals affected by domestic abuse. We recognise that professionals can often feel frustrated, out of their depth or unsure when working with domestic abuse issues and therefore are happy to support you as well.

We can:

If you are a professional working with children who you know are or may be affected by domestic abuse please visit Help for Professionals Working with Children & Young People

If you feel we could help you with any of the above please contact the office and ask to speak to one of the Outreach Workers on 01737 771350

Training for Professionals & Agencies

ESDAS has been delivering presentations and training on domestic abuse for over ten years. We offer local voluntary agencies, groups and statutory agencies the opportunity to access presentations and training that suits their needs. We regularly provide training for Surrey Police, Midwives, Health Visitors, Magistrates, Citizen’s Advice Bureau’s, Housing Departments and many voluntary agencies.

We are able to provide anything from short presentations about the work of ESDAS at Team Meetings, to a comprehensive programme of training on a range of issues including: Domestic Abuse Awareness, good practice in responding to Domestic Abuse, Domestic Abuse & the Impact on Children and much more.

ESDAS also supports the Surrey Domestic Abuse Training Framework and would be happy to supply you with a current list of training dates & venues if required.

If you would like to discuss ESDAS coming to talk to or train your team please contact the Services Manager on 01737 771780 or via email on support@esdas.org.uk
